How can we help? 👋

Using the Notifications Dashboard

Use the Notifications Dashboard to manage your notifications.

The Notifications Dashboard helps you stay on top of everything happening in your Aptly account—messages, task assignments, mentions, and more. It’s designed to keep you informed and organized, all from one central view.

You can access your Notifications Dashboard by clicking the first icon in the left-hand navigation menu.

At the top of your dashboard, you’ll see:

  • A personalized greeting with your name
  • The current date
  • Your status indicator

Your status appears anywhere your avatar is visible in Aptly—such as on assignments or comments—so teammates can quickly see your availability. You can update your status directly from this area.

Notifications Tabs

Below your greeting, you’ll find your main Notifications section.

Notifications are grouped into three tabs for easy organization:

  • New – Your most recent notifications
  • Snoozed – Notifications you’ve temporarily postponed
  • Dismissed – Notifications you’ve cleared

You can also search within your notifications to find specific items quickly.

Organized by Source

Notifications are automatically organized by source, which indicates where the notification originated—either from a board or an inbox.

Next to each source name, you’ll see a settings icon ⚙️. Clicking this icon opens the Notification Settings for that source, allowing you to customize which types of notifications you want to receive.

If you want to dismiss all notifications for a specific source, simply check the box above that source’s list.

Each notification appears in a simple list view.

Clicking on a notification will open its related item:

  • If it’s a conversation, the conversation window opens.
  • If it’s a card, you’ll see the detailed card view—where you can take action immediately without leaving the dashboard.

Within an individual notification, you can:

  • Dismiss it by clicking the checkbox
  • 🔗 Open the related board or inbox by clicking the navigation icon
  • Snooze the notification by selecting a preset time

Notification Filters and View Options

  • Filter by source: Select which inboxes or boards you want to see. (If there’s a source you don’t need notifications from, simply uncheck it.)

Upcoming Events

The Notepad is your personal space for jotting down quick thoughts, reminders, or shared notes.

You can create notes and set their visibility to:

  • Private – Only you can see it
  • Team – Visible to a specific team you select
  • Public – Visible to everyone in your organization

Use rich text formatting to customize your notes, making them ideal for team announcements or shared reminders.

You can also:

  • 🖊 Edit or archive notes using the three-dot menu
  • 📁 View archived notes anytime under the “Archived” tab

Stay Organized, Stay Informed

The Notifications Dashboard brings your most important updates, upcoming events, and personal notes together—so you can take quick action without losing focus.

With a few clicks, you’ll always know what’s new, what’s next, and what’s waiting for your attention.
