How to Access Syndication Settings
- Go to Locations → Listings.
- Select the Syndication tab.
- Toggle on Enable Syndication.
Syndication settings are located just below the Locations menu in the Board Settings menu on the left.
How to Configure Syndication Settings
- After toggling on the syndication settings, a link will be auto-generated for you.
- Configure Zillow Syndication
- Under Zillow Syndication, choose whether Aptly should auto-syndicate your listings to Zillow.
- Updates sync every 3 hours.
- Set Zillow Lead Notification Preferences
- Choose who should receive new lead notifications:
- Leasing Agent listed on the property, or
- A specific contact you designate.
- Listing Feed Details
- Copy your feed URL from the Syndication settings to share with any Syndication sites.
- Broad Compatibility — Most ILSs, syndication partners, and website providers already accept MITS feeds.
- Structured Data — Key fields like rent, square footage, amenities, and availability are standardized for clean, accurate distribution.
- Future-Proofing — As the standard evolves, Aptly’s feed stays aligned, ensuring long-term reliability.

How does the Feed URL work?
The feed URL is a live link that contains property listings data. Users would leverage this link instead of manually updating every apartment site or portal when there are changes to availability, pricing, or photos.
The feed file is updated every time a unit is published / unpublished with the option to manually refresh as needed. Aptly’s feed is fully compliant with MITS (Multifamily Information and Transactions Standard), the industry standard for rental data. We offer this feed in addition to Zillow direct integration so users can provide their feed URL to any ILS that supports MITS and have listings automatically updated.

How to Connect Your Aptly Listings Feed to Zillow
Increase your exposure to millions of visitors by utilizing Zillow’s website. You can easily manage all of your available properties in Aptly without leaving your Listings page or needing to use a new XML link.
After you toggle on Aptly Syndication and Auto-Syndicate to Zillow:
- Contact Zillow Feed Support at feedsupport@zillow.com.
- Let them know you’d like Zillow to pull availability from Aptly and provide the feed URL.
Syndication Requirements
In order to have your Listings syndicate, you will need to ensure the following is set on your Listing:
- Published button toggled on the Listing
- Building Type field must be set in the Listing
- Syndication flag is checked
Once the syndication of your listings is complete, they will be readily visible on Zillow, Trulia, and HotPads to anyone searching for properties in your area. Additionally, you will enjoy the convenience of managing all of your listings in a single location, allowing you to make any updates and changes in Aptly.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often will my Listings update on Zillow?
Every 3 hours if Auto Syndicate to Zillow is toggled on.
You can manually update any and all listings by clicking on the refresh icon on the Listings page (for all listings), the refresh icon on the individual listing, or by clicking Regenerate Feed in Syndication Settings.
How do I update the notification settings for lead emails?
In the syndication settings, you can select who gets notified from Zillow.
Why are my Listings showing under a Building?
If the Unit Type is set to Apartment, your listing will show under a Building due to this unit type being a special field in the data set. If you would like to have your Listing outside of a Building, update the Unit Type to Condo.
Can I post my feed to any other listing sites?
Yes, you can! Share the feed URL with the listing site. It will not update as frequently as Zillow.
