The Listings Widget allows you to showcase all of your available properties in one place—complete with tour links, application links, and screening options. It’s a powerful tool for marketing your listings externally and can be embedded directly on your website.
This article walks through how to configure your Listings Widget settings.
Accessing Listings Widget Settings

To get started:
- Navigate to Locations
- Under Marketing, click Listings
- In the bottom-left corner, select Listing Settings
From here, you’ll configure everything related to your Listings Widget.
Enable the Listings Widget
At the top of the settings page, toggle Enable Listings Widget.
Enabling the widget does not automatically publish it anywhere. The widget will only be visible if:
- You share the widget URL, or
- It is embedded on your website
Widget URL & Embedding
Under Widget Settings, you’ll find your Widget URL.
- Use this link to share your listings directly
- Provide it to your web developer to embed on your website (commonly via iframe)
Image Watermarks
You can choose to add a watermark to your listing images.
- Displays your company name (set in Company Info & Team settings)
- Appears across the center of listing images
- Adjustable watermark size
You can preview how the watermark looks within an individual listing’s preview panel.
Board Selection (What to Display)
The Board section determines which listings appear in your widget.
- Most users will select the Units board
- Optionally include Buildings if you market multi-unit properties at the building level
Location-Level Settings
Within each selected board, you can configure:
Leasing Contact
- Displays on all listings
- Select from contacts on the unit board
- Leave blank to hide contact info
Market Rent Field
- Choose which field displays rent pricing
Logo Override
- By default, uses your company logo (set under Company Info & Team)
- Option to override using a custom image field on the Units
Deposit Field
- Select which field displays the security deposit
Listing Filters
By default, the widget displays listings marked as Published for Rent.
You can refine this further by applying a Listing Filter:
- Use an existing filter from your board
- Or create a new one based on specific criteria
Segmented Listing Links
You can create separate widget links for different groups of listings.
Example Use Cases:
- Regional segmentation (e.g., West Coast vs. East Coast)
- Property type segmentation
- Owner-specific listings
How It Works:
- Create or select a filter (e.g., “California Properties”)
- Generate a unique link tied to that filter
- Share or embed that specific link
Each segment will show:
- Filter name
- Number of listings included
- Unique widget URL
You can edit or delete segments at any time.
If you don’t want a single, organization-wide listings page, you can disable it and rely only on segmented links.
Contact Us Form
Select a form to display in the widget for inquiries.
- Choose an existing form
- Or create a new one
- The selected form will appear in all “Contact Us” sections of the widget
Lease Package (Estimated Fees)
If you’re using Apply Screening, you can display estimated fees:
- Select a Lease Package
- Show prospects a breakdown of expected costs
Contact Information
Set a default contact for inquiries:
- Applies across all listings
- Can be overridden at the individual property level
Benefits
Add custom messaging to promote your company, such as:
- Service highlights
- Unique offerings
- Resident benefits
This content will display within the widget.
Search & Amenities
Enable enhanced search functionality:
- Allow prospects to filter by amenities
- Improves usability and discovery
Custom JavaScript
You can add custom JavaScript for tracking or analytics (e.g., Google Analytics).
Scripts run as-is. Errors in your code can break the widget, so test carefully.
Listing Ranges
Listing ranges are configured at the individual listing level, not within widget settings.
Floor Plans (Multi-Family Only)
If you manage multi-family properties, you can display floor plans:
- Requires a Floor Plans board
- Contact your account manager to enable this feature
When to Use the Listings Widget
The Listings Widget is especially valuable if you are using:
- Aptly Screening (applications)
- Aptly Access
It creates a seamless experience for prospects to:
- View listings
- Schedule tours
- Apply—all in one place
