Enable a generic property in your available properties list so that you can add roommates to an existing lease or have generic applications for future properties.
How to Enable a Generic Property
- Open Screening Management settings. Select Board Settings.

- Click edit on the collection where you want to add a generic property.

- Scroll to the bottom. Toggle ON Generic Property.

- Complete any of the available fields to show for the generic listing.
- Add a custom marketing title like Additional Roommate, Generic Property, Future Properties.
- Add a custom rent message.
- Include Required Monthly Income
- Add a Holding Fee (if applicable).
- Add a custom Marketing Description and Images.

- Click Save.
How Do I Display the Generic Property in the Listings Widget?
To publicly display the generic property on your website in the Listings Widget, you’ll need to head to Organization Settings in Screening Management.

Under the Application Options section, you’ll find the option to enable the placeholder within the property selector on the application.

It will show in the list of available properties to apply to in the portal and on the listings widget:

Where Do I Find the Generic Property Link?
There are two places where you can find the link:
- On Board Settings, there is a link in the collections table.

- In Board Settings > Collection, the link is next to the Generic Property section.
