Adding a Knowledge Page to a Board

Add a knowledge page to access on a board.

In Aptly, you can add Knowledge pages directly to a board to keep important resources, documents, and SOPs easily accessible and connected to your workflows.

Follow the steps below to add a Knowledge page view to your board.

Step 1: Add a Knowledge View to the Board

  1. Navigate to the board where you want to add Knowledge pages.
  1. Click Add a New View.
  1. From the view options, select Knowledge.
  1. Name your view – choose a clear title that reflects the purpose of the content (e.g., Maintenance SOPs or Leasing Resources).
  1. Choose a privacy setting:
      • Private View – Only you will be able to access this view.
      • Protected View – Read-only for other users.
        • You (the owner) can make changes, but anyone else will only be able to view the pages without editing them.
  1. Click Save to create the view.

Once saved, the new Knowledge view will appear alongside your other board views.

Step 2: Create a New Knowledge Page

  1. Open the newly added Knowledge view on your board.
  1. Click Add New Page.
  1. Begin building your page by adding:
      • Title/Heading for the page.
      • Optional icon or cover image to visually represent the page.
      • Content such as text, links, and related resources.

You can format the page using the forward slash (/) to access headings, tables, and other formatting tools.

Pro Tip

  • Use Protected Views for shared SOPs or reference documents to ensure they stay accurate and aren’t accidentally edited by others.
  • Organize your Knowledge pages into Pages and sub-pages for quick navigation as your content grows.
  • Link cards, tasks, locations, or contacts to make your Knowledge pages interactive and connected to your workflows.

By adding a Knowledge view to your board, you can keep critical resources right where your team works, creating a single, organized hub for information.
