Tasks got a facelift! You can now create different types of tasks and include additional details, the ability to log progress, and much more!

How to Create a Task
You can create a new task on a card, email, or from the dashboard.
Add a Task on a Card
- Open a card.
- Locate the tasks section.
- Click Add Task.
- Type in the task title and click Create. The task will be added to the card.
- Add in any additional details to the task.
Add a Task to an Email
- Open a conversation.
- Expand Conversation Details in the upper right (3 horizontal lines).
- Locate the Tasks section and click on the plus + icon to add a new task.
- Type in a task title and click create.
- Add any details to the task.
- The task is now added to the bottom of the task list in Conversation Details.
Add a Task from the Dashboard
- From the Tasks Dashboard, click New Task.
- Type in a Task Title and click create.
- Add in any details.
- The task is now added to My Tasks (if no card is related).
How to Create a New Task by Type
There are now four different types of tasks that you can create:
- To-Do
- SMS
- Call
Each task type comes with its own set of settings but all tasks include the ability to set the:
- Status
- Priority
- Assignee
- Start Date
- Due Date
You can also add a rich text description, attach files, and add comments to any task.
Create a New To-Do Task
- Click New Task from the Dashboard or Add Task on a card and select To Do.
- Enter the task title and click Create. The task is now added to the list.
- Add details to the task. Add a description by clicking edit. Click save when finished.
- Set the assignee and due date, relate a card or contacts, and add files in the right column. These updates are saved automatically.
- Close the task. It will be shown on the dashboard and if related, the card.
Create a New Email Task
- Click New Task and select Email.
- Enter a task title and click create.
- Click edit to add an email template or wait until you’re ready to send the email.
- Set the assignee and due date, relate a card or contacts, and add files in the right column. These updates are saved automatically.
- Close the task. It will be shown on the dashboard and if related, the card.
Create a New SMS Task
You’ll follow the same steps as the Email task to set up an SMS task.
- Click New Task and select SMS.
- Enter a task title and click create.
- Click edit to add an SMS template or wait until you’re ready to send the email.
- Set the assignee and due date, relate a card or contacts, and add files in the right column. These updates are saved automatically.
- Close the task. It will be shown on the dashboard and if related, the card.
Create a New Call Task
When creating a new call task, you will need to select a contact with a phone number.
- Click New Task and select Phone.
- Enter a task title and click create.
- Select a contact.
- Click edit to add in call details, talking points, and/or merge fields. You’ll need to relate a card if you want the merge fields to work. You’ll add the call outcome after the call is completed.
- Set the assignee and due date, relate a card or contacts, and add files in the right column. These updates are saved automatically.
- Close the task. It will be shown on the dashboard and if related, the card.
How to Edit a Task
Editing the Task Details
You can update any of the task details in the side panel except for the task type and the Created By details.
To edit any details on the right, double click on the field and make your update. It will automatically save once a selection is made.
Editing the Title
As with the task details, double-click on the title to make any changes. Click the save icon 💾 to confirm changes.
Editing the Description
To edit the description, click the Edit button. A rich text box will appear where you can format the description. Click Save to confirm changes or click Cancel.
How to Log Details on a Task
On the right hand side of any task pop up, you have the option to log details of the task progress. Add a comment to share with your team or leave notes for yourself.
Update the Status
Let your team know where you are with the progress of a task. Select from:
- Backlog
- Not Started
- In Progress
- On Hold
- Completed
Update Start Date
Similarly to how you would select a due date, select a day that you start the task.
Add Comments
You can now add comments on a task. Here you can log notes and collaborate with team members. You can images, video, links, and files as well as format the text and add emojis.
How to Complete a Task
There are two ways to mark a task as complete:
- Click the ✔️ icon.
From the dashboard:
On a card:
- Open the task and click complete.
- Send an email, SMS, or complete a phone call. Once the action has been made, the task will be automatically marked as complete.
How to Delete a Task
Open a task to delete it.
- Open any task.
- In the upper right corner, click on the 3 vertical dots.
- Click delete.
- Confirm task deletion.
