Syncing your Gmail or Outlook calendar with Aptly lets you manage all your events in one place. This guide will show you how to navigate the calendar, add and edit events, and respond to invites directly within Aptly.
Navigating the Calendar
There are different ways to navigate and view the Calendar. Use the Interactive image below to learn more about the Calendar in Aptly.
📓 Note: this is a permissions setting and visibility to personal calendar details is limited. Teammate calendars will show their events, but no event details are given.
How to Add a New Event
- To add a new event click New Event.
- Click an empty time slot in the calendar grid. You can assign your event to a specific calendar by clicking the drop-down menu. Then, add an event title, date, and time.
- To invite guests, enter the first few letters of the invitee’s name or email address in the box. Matching names and addresses from your Contacts appear as you enter text. Click a suggestion to add that person to the event. If no suggestions appear, enter your guest’s full email address.
- Finally, you can also add a location and description. Once you’re finished, click Save!

Edit an Event
Click an event from the calendar grid. Then click Edit. Make changes to the Meeting Details and click Save!
How to Respond to Calendar Invites
If your Inbox Calendar is not set up in your Personal or Shared Inbox Settings, you'll see this message at the top of email invites: "To reply to invites in your inbox, please select a calendar in your inbox setup."

To set your calendar in your Inbox Settings, click on Settings > Personal (or Shared) Inbox Settings.

Accounts with configured Inbox Calendars will display email event invites with the option to answer the invite within the email message.

Responding Yes or Maybe will attach the event to your configured Inbox Calendar. Maybe responses show with a striped line.
