Use AI to draft or refine an email response, then review the text before sending it. You can start with a suggested reply, use the AI Assistant panel, or continue the same AI session while working in the composer.
AI writing assistance in the Inbox is available with a Premium subscription. For inbox configuration, see Setting Up AI in the Inbox.
1. Choose where to start
Suggested replies
If AI is enabled for the inbox, use the blue sparkle button above the reply box to generate or refresh suggestions. Select a suggested-reply chip to review it. Review and edit the response before sending.
AI Assistant in the conversation
Click the sparkle icon in the conversation toolbar to open AI Assistant. Choose a writing prompt or type your own request. Review the result. If the generated text is available to copy, you can copy it into the composer yourself and edit it before sending.
AI Assistant in the composer
Click Reply or Reply All on the email. The AI Assistant panel appears on the right side of the composer and carries the current AI session from the main Inbox view. Continue that conversation or enter a new prompt.
2. Draft or refine the response
Ask for the result you need. For example:
- “Write a first draft answering the resident’s questions.”
- “Draft a follow-up asking for the missing unit number.”
- “Write a polite decline.”
- “Make this response more professional.”
Give the assistant the facts it should use. Review the generated text rather than treating dates, amounts, or commitments as confirmed.
3. Review and send
Check the recipient, facts, tone, and any attachments. Edit the response as needed, then select Send yourself.
Suggested replies and these writing-assistance actions do not send a response on their own. They are separate from an AI Email Agent configured to send automatic replies.
Start a fresh AI session
- Click Clear in the AI panel.
- Confirm the action.
This removes the current AI conversation and resets the assistant window, so you can begin a new request or generate an alternative draft.
