Within your RingCentral widget in Aptly, you can customize several settings to control how you make and receive calls, as well as adjust your audio and appearance preferences.
Accessing the Widget
To get started, click the R icon on the left-hand side of your screen. This will open the RingCentral widget.

At the bottom of the widget, click Settings to view and manage your options. You’ll also see your connection status to Aptly here.
General Settings
Under General, you can choose your preferred calling method:
- Browser – Make and receive calls directly within Aptly
- RingCentral App – Route calls through your desktop/mobile app
- RingOut – Calls your selected number first, then connects to the recipient
You can also:
- Select your country/region code for dialing
- Choose your theme (Light, Dark, or System Default)
Audio Settings
Customize how you hear and speak on calls:
- Microphone – Select your input device
- Noise Reduction – Toggle to reduce background noise
- Speaker Output – Choose where you hear audio
- Ringtone Source – Select where incoming calls ring
- Volume Controls – Adjust sound levels for calls and ringtones
Status Settings
You can update your availability status in two ways:
- Within Settings
- Directly from the widget header using the status icon
Available status options:
- Available
- Busy
- Do Not Disturb
- Invisible
Additional Options
- End-User License Agreement (EULA) – View terms and conditions
- Log Out – Sign out of your RingCentral account within the widget
