The far-right panel of your Help Desk inbox provides an expanded, detailed view of the conversation.
This panel helps you see everything connected to the message at a glance — from related contacts and cards to attachments, history, and more.
Depending on the conversation, this pane can show one of two views:
- Conversation Details (default view)
- Card View (if a card is linked to the conversation)
Conversation Details View
By default, the pop-out pane opens to show your Conversation Details.
This includes everything related to the conversation, such as:
- Participants – Everyone included in the conversation
- Topics – Tags or categories applied to the message
- Related Cards – Any cards connected to this conversation
- Tasks – Action items created from the message
- Locations – Property or unit associations
- Attachments – Files sent or received in the thread
- Events & History – A record of actions taken on the conversation over time
This view gives you a complete snapshot of all the context surrounding that message — perfect for quick reference while replying or managing related work.
Contacts Tab
Within the Conversation Details view, there’s also a Contacts tab.
Here, you’ll find a dropdown of all related contacts associated with the conversation.
You can toggle between contacts to view each contact card, which includes:
- Tags & Notes – Add or edit details to help identify or organize the contact.
- Alerts – Create custom alerts that appear when that contact emails in.
- Example: Add an alert for a VIP owner or a high-volume resident so your team is aware when messages arrive.
- Additional Details – View synced information from your property management software (PMS) or manually created contacts in Aptly.
- Contact History & Related Locations – See where this contact has been active and any associated properties.

Card View
If a conversation is linked to a card, the pop-out pane will display the Card View instead of the Conversation Details.
In this view, you can:
- See the related card’s details right alongside the conversation.
- Add or update card information while reading or replying to messages.
- View the overall activity on the card, including comments, tasks, and other actions.
This allows you to manage both the communication and the related workflow in one place — no extra clicks required.
In the conversation preview panel, you’ll also see a visual indicator when a card is attached:
- The card title and its board color appear below the conversation subject line.
This makes it easy to recognize which conversations are already tied to a card at a glance.
Summary
The pop-out pane ties everything together — showing either the full conversation context or the linked card details.
It’s designed to keep you informed and efficient, letting you handle related actions and updates without ever leaving your inbox view.
