The Tasks View gives you a single place to see, manage, and complete work across every card on a board.
Instead of opening each card individually, the Tasks View creates a centralized checklist of responsibilities, deadlines, and ownership.
Why this exists:
- Cards track records (owners, properties, leads, vendors, etc.).
- Tasks track the work that must happen.
- The Tasks View connects the two so you can manage workload — not just data.
What the Tasks View Does

The Tasks View automatically gathers every task on a board and organizes them by:
- Assignee (who is responsible)
- Due date (when it needs to be done)
- Status (progress of work)
- Priority (importance)
- Completion state
You do not configure the view — it simply summarizes tasks already attached to cards.
Add the Tasks View to a Board
The Tasks View is available on all boards but is not installed by default.

Steps
- Open the board
- Under the board title, click the ➕ Add View icon
- Select Tasks View
- Name the view (examples: Tasks, To-Do, Team Work Queue)
- Choose access level:
- Private → only you
- Protected → limited editors
- No toggle → visible to everyone
- Click Save
The view is now ready — no additional setup required.
Understanding the Tasks Summary Filters
At the top of the view you can change what tasks you see.
Filter by User

- View tasks for a specific team member
- Or view All Users to see the entire workload
Use case: Managers reviewing workload distribution
Filter by Priority

Shows tasks based on importance level.
Use case: Handle urgent work first
Filter by Due Date

You can quickly narrow down deadlines:
- Outstanding (overdue)
- Due Today
- Due This Week
- Due This Month
- Previous Month
- All Tasks
- Custom Date Range
Purpose: Prevent missed deadlines and identify bottlenecks
Task Buckets (Automatic Categories)
Below the filters are grouped buckets. Clicking one shows matching tasks.
Bucket | Meaning |
Open Tasks | Not completed |
Currently Overdue | Past due date or no due date |
Updated | Recently changed |
Completed | Finished work |
Unassigned | No responsible user |
Why Unassigned matters:
- Unassigned tasks are one of the most common reasons work is missed.
- This bucket acts as a safety net.
