There may be times when you need to reopen an application so an applicant can finish completing it or so your team can continue the screening process. The steps you take will depend on whether the application is Closed or Canceled.
Reopening a Closed Application
A Closed application can be reopened directly from the Approval Center within the Household Application.
If a closed application is archived, you’ll first need to unarchive the application. View the Archived Filter. Then, click on the 3 dots and select Re-open.
Steps:
- Open the household application you want to reopen.
- Click Reopen in the Approval Center.
The application will now be active and ready to move forward in the screening process.
Reopening a Canceled Application
A Canceled application must first be closed before you can reopen it.
Steps:
- Open the household application marked as Canceled.
- Click Close to move it from Canceled to Closed status.
- Once closed, click Reopen in the Approval Center.
The application will now be active again, allowing the applicant to continue completing it or for your team to finish screening.
Pro Tip:
- Always confirm why an application was originally canceled or closed before reopening, to ensure the next steps are appropriate.
- If you don’t see the Reopen button, check your archived view to confirm the application isn’t still archived.
