Using a communication template, you can create a PDF using card (or in this case, application) fields. In this article, we will review how to manually create the PDF and how to automate it.
Create the PDF Template
In order to create the PDF of fields, you’ll need to design a PDF communication template. It can be a text or HTML template (See: Communication Template: HTML Editor)

The application merge fields are found under the Application section in merge fields:

How to Manually Create a PDF
- On the Applicants board, you can create the PDF from the more menu.

- Select Create PDF from Template.

- Select the PDF.

- Before clicking share, you have the option to download or print the PDF.

Click Share if you want to email the PDF.

- Compose your email message and send the email.

How to Automate Creating a PDF of an Application
You can set your conditions to whatever you need. Typically, creation of the full application would occur when the Application Status is updated to Approved.

When creating a PDF automatically, it will save to the Files section of the application.

Organize your application PDFs by creating a new File Field titled Application PDF.
