Your Card Settings control how cards appear, behave, and organize information on your board. From how cards are named to what information displays at a glance, these settings help tailor your board to your workflow.
To access Card Settings, open your board, click the ⚙️ (Settings) icon in the top-right corner, and select Card Options.

🏷️ Card Naming
Your card name is what displays on each card in Kanban or Table view. You can choose how these names are generated:
- Manually Entered Name: The card name stays as entered when created.
- Contact Name: Displays the default contact type’s name (for example, the resident or prospect).
- Board Name + Created Date: Automatically generates a title using the board name and the date the card was created.
- Custom: Combine any card fields to build your own naming format. You can add characters such as dashes or slashes to separate field values (e.g., “Property Name – Lease Start Date”).
Use custom naming if you want consistency across cards or if your team uses multiple boards with similar processes.
👤 Default Contact Type
Each board typically has one primary contact type — such as Resident, Owner, or Prospect.
The Default Contact Type defines which contact will be automatically linked when a new card is created.
This ensures your cards stay consistent and makes automations smoother when creating or updating cards.
🧩 Card Grouping
Card Grouping lets you permanently combine multiple cards into one grouped record.
This feature is rarely needed and cannot be undone, so use with caution.
Grouped cards can be harder to search and filter, so we recommend avoiding grouping unless you have a very specific use case (for example, related maintenance requests for the same unit).
⏳ Aging Indicator
The Aging Indicator shows a small icon on each card that changes color based on activity:
- 🟢 Green: Recent activity or replies
- 🟡 Yellow: Some time has passed since the last reply
- 🔴 Red: No replies or updates for a while
This makes it easy to spot which items may need follow-up without opening the card.
👁️ Preview Field Name
When viewing your cards in Kanban view, you can choose whether to:
- Show the field name and value (e.g., “Move-in Date: 6/1/25”), or
- Show only the field value with an icon (for a cleaner, more compact look).
Toggle this setting based on how much information you want visible at a glance.
📞 Minimum Call Length
If your team uses Twilio-connected lines and automations to create cards from calls, you can set a minimum call length (in seconds) that determines when a card is automatically created.
For example:
- 0 seconds: Every inbound call creates a card, even if no one speaks.
- 10 seconds: Only calls lasting 10+ seconds will trigger a new card.
This helps keep your boards focused on meaningful interactions.
📅 Card Badge
Each card can display a badge — a small date indicator shown directly on the card.
You can choose which date field (such as Move-in Date or Renewal Date) appears as the badge.
This gives you an easy way to track upcoming deadlines or key dates right from the board view.
💾 Don’t Forget to Save
After making changes in Card Settings, always click Save in the top-right corner of the settings panel to apply your updates.
