In Aptly, we have a feature that allows you to take any field on a card and use it as a title for a card on any workflow board.
We do not recommend using auto-card naming on location boards (Portfolios, Buildings, Units, Leases) as it could cause undue ramifications with syncing data. All location naming is collected from your Property Management System.

Card Naming Options
There are 3 options when naming a card:
- Manual
- Board Name - Create Time
- Auto-Card Naming
On Lead Boards, you can select Contact Name as a card title option.
Manual
You can title the card as you create it. Cards are manually named when they sync from your property management system. They retain the title from the source.
Board Name - Create Time
This automatically sets the title to whatever the board is named along with the time the card was created.
Auto-Card Naming
Automatically update the card titles to your custom selection. You can use existing fields on the card as well as your own text and symbols.


How to Change the Name of the Cards

- Click on Card Settings.
- Click on Card Configuration.
- Select the Card Naming Option.
- For Auto-Card Naming:
- Select the fields that you want to show in the card title.
- If adding any text symbols, type in the field and hit enter.
- Drag and move the fields and symbols in the desired order.
- Click Save.
Card names won’t always automatically update upon save. Leave the board and come back and they will be updated.
