Board Filters are an important tool to use in a workflow. You can use them to start processes, keep track of your own tasks, and any other ways that you might need.

How to Use a Board Filter
Aptly Boards come installed with ready-to-use filters. Filter cards to view by all cards assigned to you (Mine), another assignee, recently updated, etc. These filters also include a view of your archived cards along with any in the recycle bin (deleted cards that stay in the recycle bin for 30 days).
To change your view to a specific filter, click on the View button above the stages in the top right. You can select any view that is in the list and the cards will filter to the view.
How to Create a Board Filter View
In Aptly, you can customize your view of the board based on different field criteria. Filtered views can also be used as a way to copy cards over to another board.
From the Board view, click on the View button in the top right of the stages.
- Click on +Add Filter at the bottom of the menu.
- Name the Filter.
- You have the option of making a filter view public (visible to anyone with access to the board) or private (visible only to you).
- Locate the field (condition).
- Select the criteria.
- Click Save.
You’ll now see the filtered view on your Board.
What are Board Filters Used For?
- Highlight a selection of cards based on any card fields.
- Example: Last Activity Greater than 3 Days ago
- Copy selected cards to another board. (See: Copying Cards to Another Board)
- Use a filter to copy specific cards to another board to start a new process.
- Example: Create a filter on the Leases board for leases with a balance due to manage on the Accounts Receivable board.
- View/sort cards by assignee.
- Identify the number of cards assigned to each user.
