How to Review Instant Identity and Income Verification Reports

Understand the identity and income verification reports.

When applicants complete Instant ID Verification or Bank Connect (Income Verification), Aptly generates detailed, specialized reports to help you review their information with confidence.

This article walks through how to access these reports and what each section means.


How to Access Verification Reports

  1. Open any application to view the Household
  1. Scroll down to the Applicants table
  1. Locate the applicant you want to review
      • Look for double checkmarks to confirm:
        • Notion image
        • ID Verification completed
        • Income Verification completed
  1. Click on the applicant’s name
  1. At the top of the page, toggle from Applicant → Report

Once you switch to the Report view, you’ll see all verification details in one place.


Identity Verification Report

At the top of the report, you’ll find the Identity Verification section.

Status & Decisioning

  • Set an outcome:
    • Accepted
    • Denied
    • Not Reviewed
  • If Instant ID Verification was used, the system will display:
    • Pass ✅ or Fail ❌ status
    • Any potential fraud indicators

Identity Checks

  • View all verification checks completed
  • Easily identify:
    • What passed (green checkmarks)
    • What failed (red Xs)

ID & Selfie Review

  • Applicant-submitted:
    • Government ID
    • Selfie image

ID Details

  • Includes:
    • ID type (e.g., driver’s license)
    • ID number
    • Issue & expiration dates

Data Matching

  • Compares:
    • Applicant-entered info (name, address)
    • Data pulled from the ID
  • Displays:
    • Match ✅ or mismatch ❌ indicators

Income Verification (Bank Connect Report)

The Financial Verification section provides a detailed view of the applicant’s income and financial behavior.

Income Breakdown

  • Organized by source (e.g., employment, government, other)
  • Includes:
    • Average monthly income
    • Last payment date

Click View to drill into transaction-level details, with filters for different income types.

  • Table view of income by category:
    • Employment

Balance History

  • Daily closing balances across all linked accounts
  • Based on transaction-level data
  • Scroll horizontally to view trends over time

Financial Health Indicators

NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds)

  • Total NSF occurrences in the last 12 months

Monthly Free Cash Flow

  • Remaining funds after recurring expenses
  • Includes a color-coded indicator:
    • ⚠️ Yellow = potential concern

Monthly Net Income

  • Total income after expenses

Income Sources

  • Breakdown of where income is coming from

Rent Payment History

  • Number of rent-related payments (last 12–18 months)
  • Includes a detailed list of transactions

Average Bank Balance

  • Average daily closing balance
  • Includes interpretation to guide review

Frequently Asked Questions

Does data from Bank Connect or ID Verification expire?

Yes. Data will expire in 60 days.

Can an applicant connect multiple bank accounts?

Only while they are in the bank connect window. Once they submit their information and move onto the next step, applicants cannot connect additional bank accounts. They can upload PDFs of pay stubs and bank statements under Employment History (after adding income sources).

My ID and Income Reports do not look like this.
