The Locks interface in Aptly gives you a clear, organized view of all your smart locks connected to properties in your portfolio. You’ll find this section under Locations, where you can monitor lock status, check battery levels, and manage access — all from one place.
Locks Dashboard Overview
At the top of the Locks page, you’ll see your Locks Dashboard.
This dashboard gives you a quick summary of your entire lock network, including:
- Total Locks – The total number of locks connected to your Aptly account.
- Active Locks – Locks that are currently online and functioning normally.
- Low Battery – Locks that may need battery replacement soon.
- Offline – Locks that are currently disconnected or not communicating with the system.
You’ll also see an Advanced Settings section here. These settings apply to the board itself and generally don’t require updates unless directed by your team or support.
Viewing Locks in the Table View
Below the dashboard, you’ll find a table view of all your locks.
This view gives you quick access to key details such as lock name, status, battery level, and assigned location.
You can:
- Search for a specific lock by name or alias
- Filter by lock mode or battery status
- Customize visible fields to show only the information that’s most relevant to you
Managing an Individual Lock
Clicking on any lock in the table will open a detailed view in a new window.
Here, you can review and update everything related to that specific lock.
Lock Details and Actions
Within the lock details window, you can:
- Add or edit the lock alias
- Update the unit mode or assign a location
- View battery status and general lock information
- Send or manage passcodes for users
- Add or remove users and manage user permissions
- Review recent activity and lock history within Aptly
You’ll also find quick actions like setting a lock to inactive or removing it from your database when needed.
