How to Create and Use a Task Template

Create a task template that you’ll use over and over again in a workflow.

Task templates are a great way to keep repeated tasks organized in a workflow. You can organize them based on type of task, timing, or however else makes sense for your process!

How to Create a Task Template

Similar to forms, task templates can only be applied to one board.

  1. From a board, click Task Templates.
  1. Click Add New Task List.
  1. Type in a Task List Title.
  1. Select options.
      • Include Assignee - if you will not be assigning the tasks in the automation
      • Sequential - Tasks will only appear when the first task is completed.
  1. Add tasks.
  1. Click save.

How to Edit a Task Template

Editing a task template is easy. Click on the task template or click the 3 dots on the task template title and click Edit.

How to Add Task Templates to a Card

There are a few ways to add a task template to a card:

  1. Manually
  1. By automation

Adding a Task Template Manually

  1. Click on a card to open it.
  1. Locate the Task list and click on the 3 vertical dots to access the Task menu.
  1. Select Load Template.
  1. Select a template and click Load.

The task template is added to the card. It will only be added to the selected card. If you want a task template to load on every card at a specific point in a process, you can use an automation to do this for you!
