How to Enable CoStar Syndication

This article walks through how to enable and configure CoStar syndication, including lead notifications and lead routing, so your listings and leads flow correctly.

Step 1: Navigate to Syndication Settings

Go to Listings.

Scroll down to Listing Options.

Select Syndication.

Step 2: Enable Syndication

Toggle Enable Syndication to On.

Once enabled, you’ll be able to configure lead notifications, feed options, and lead routing.

Step 3: Configure Lead Notifications

The Lead Notifications section controls where inquiry emails from CoStar are sent.

You have two options:

Option 1: Property Leasing Agent

Select Property Leasing Agent to send leads to the property manager listed on the card.

This includes any property manager field available on the listing card.

Option 2: Specified Contact Information

Select Specified Contact Information to override the leasing agent.

Enter a Contact Name and Email Address.

Use this option if leads should go to a shared inbox or a specific team member.

Step 4: Configure Feed Options

Under Feed Options, you can:

Enable Include Aptly Screening Link to add your Aptly screening link directly into the CoStar listing feed.

Step 5: Set Up Lead Routing (CoStar Lead Webhooks)

Aptly supports lead webhooks for CoStar, allowing leads to automatically create cards on your boards.

Configure Lead Routing

In the Lead Routing section, add a Destination.

Select whether the routing applies to:

All Locations, or

Specific Locations.

Choose the Board where leads should be created (typically a Renter Leads board).

If you have multiple renter lead boards, select the appropriate one.

(Optional) Apply a Filter to control which leads are routed to that board.

You can:

Select multiple locations

Add multiple routing destinations

Use filters to route different leads to different boards

Step 6: Enable CoStar Syndication

Scroll to the CoStar Syndication section.

Toggle Auto Syndicate to CoStar to On.

Once enabled, all eligible listings will automatically syndicate to the CoStar network.

Optional: Get your CoStar Leads directly in Aptly. With CoStar syndication enabled, you can enable CoStar Lead Webhooks. These leads will be automatically sent to the destination board set up with the instructions above.
