Searching for Cards in Aptly

Use different search options to locate a card in Aptly.

Looking for a specific card in Aptly? The search feature helps you locate information quickly—whether it's a tenant who called but you can't remember their rental location, or a work order you need to access immediately.

Aptly provides two main search options:

  • Board Search
  • Global Search

Board Search

If you want to search for a card in a specific workflow without pulling other data, you can search directly on the Board you are working on.

  1. Navigate to your Boards by clicking the Boards Icon on the far left panel of your Dashboard.

  1. Using the dropdown menu, select the specific Board you want to search, and type in the title of the card in the Search Bar.

By default, the Quick Search on your Board is set to search by Title only. If you’d like to search using additional Fields—such as Unit, Last Touch, or other custom fields—you can easily enable them in your Board’s Advanced Settings.

Updating Your Search Fields on a Board

  1. Click the Advanced Settings Icon in the top left corner.

  1. In your Board Options you will see Board Quick Search Options.

  1. Click Add and select the Fields you want to be able to search by and click Save.

  1. To ensure your are able to search by the new Fields you added, toggle on Force Re-index.

Global Search

If you're unsure which Board a Card belongs to—or you want to find all Cards containing a specific piece of information—you can use Global Search. It searches across all Boards and returns any Cards that match your search criteria.

 

You can access Global Search from any Board. It is located at the top of your screen.

You can simply type in what you're looking for, or narrow your results by applying filters such as Assignee, Status, Tags, and even choose to include Archived Cards in your search.
